Job Description:
Material Sciences Corporation is seeking a NVH TECHNICIAN at our Canton, MI facility. This position is responsible for conducting NVH testing activities in the Application Research Center NVH Laboratory.

Essential Functions of the Position:

  •  NVH Test Setup: Vehicle/System Preparation, Pre-test Instrumentation Calibration, Pre-test Instrumentation Installation and system checkout.
  •  NVH Test Data Acquisition: Setup B&K Pulse Software for Test, Acquire Data during test, Post-test Data Quality Check, Post-test Instrumentation Tear-down and cleanup.
  •  NVH Instrumentation Coordination: Maintain NVH Instrumentation Database, Instrumentation Check-in and Check-out, Maintain Routine Calibration Schedules, Perform/Coordinate Instrumentation repair & replacement
  •  Quality Systems: QMS System TS 16949, Design & Quality Testing, Design Equipment Ability, Calibration Control of IMT Equipment.

  •  QMS System TS 16949
  •  Design & Quality Testing
  •  Design Equipment Ability
  •  Calibration Control of IMT Equipment

Essential Requirements for the Position:

  •  Associates degree required in Electronics or Equivalent.
  •  2 years experience in NVH testing using B&K Pulse (or equivalent) data acquisition systems.
  •  High flexibility and adaptability to change.
  •  Must work well on teams.
  •  Ability to work with tools to disassemble and assemble appliances and cars in a shop environment.
  •  Ability to travel based on business needs.
